Boost Your Curb Appeal

Thinking about selling? Put a little though into the curb appeal.

When potential buyers view your home, whether in photos or in person, the first impression is key. With just a little forethought, the curb appeal – or attractiveness of a home – can elevate from good to great! And the best part? You don’t have to invest a lot of money to do it. Below are some ideas to get you started.

Clean extremely dirty surfaces with a pressure washer. Decks, driveways, siding, and porches can see big improvements with just a little attention!

Adding pizzazz to your home’s front entrance is an easy, low-cost way to boost your home’s curb appeal. Paint the front door, add a wreath and/or potted plants, or perhaps add decorative house numbers.

A fresh coat of neutral paint on trim can give your home’s exterior a renewed look.

Replace hardware on your front entrance. Add shutters where appropriate.

Trim trees and bushes. Manicure the lawn and any landscape beds. Don’t forget, a little mulch can go a long way!

Sweep off spiderwebs from awnings, railings, outdoor lighting, and bushes. No one wants to walk through one one of those!

Pretend you are the buyer and complete your own drive-by and walk-through. Notice the good and the bad. What could you move to give your home a more balanced look?

Ask a friend or neighbor to rate the curb appeal of your home. They might point out something you’ve missed.

Ask your real estate agent for their thoughts!
